Arwen Evenstar

Young she was and yet not so. The braids of her dark hair were touched by no frost; her white arms and clear face were flawless and smooth, and the light of stars was in her bright eyes, grey as a cloudless night; yet queenly she looked, and thought and knowledge were in her glance, as of one who has known many things that the years bring[...]

[...]then suddenly it seemed to Frodo that Arwen turned towards him, and the light of her eyes fell on him from afar and pierced his heart.

She's a bulldog. And Grissom always saw that in her. And he always knew that subconsciously the only person who'd be able to give him a second look is someone who's not willing to take the first look for granted.

Sansa Stark

... Sansa sat with her hands folded in her lap, watching with a strange fascination. She had never seen a man die before. She ought to be crying too, she thought, but the tears would not come. Perhaps she had used up all her tears for Lady and Bran. It would be different if it had been Jory or Ser Rodrik or Father, she told herself. The young knight in the blue cloak was nothing to her, some stranger from the Vale of Arryn whose name she had forgotten as soon as she heard it. And now the world would forget his name too, Sansa realized; there would be no songs sung for him. That was sad.

Game of Thrones

Martha Jones

I travelled across the world, from the ruins of New York to the fusion mills of China. Right across the radiation pits of Europe. And everywhere I went, I saw people just like you, living as slaves. But if Martha Jones became a legend, then that's wrong because my name isn't important. There's someone else. The man who sent me out there, the man who told me to walk the Earth. And his name is the Doctor. He has saved your lives so many times and you never even knew he was there. He never stops, he never stays, he never asks to be thanked. But I've seen him, I know him, I love him. And I know what he can do.

You know when you see a photograph of someone you know, but it's from years before you knew them. It's like they're not quite finished—they're not done yet. Well... yes, The Doctor's here. He came when I called just like he always does. But not "my" Doctor. Now my Doctor, I've seen whole armies turn and run away. And he'd just swagger off, back to his TARDIS. And open the doors with a snap of his fingers. The Doctor. In the TARDIS. Next stop: Everywhere.

Every day is gonna make us wanna rip our fingernails out if we have to keep living like this. I can't go to a restaurant and pretend to be human when all I wanna do is eat the table next to me.

Being Human US, It takes two to make a thing go wrong

Wherever you think this gift came from, or whoever you think bestowed it upon you, it’s simply an anomaly. I know that, because I am an anomaly. I’ve moved things with my mind. I’ve lit things on fire. I’ve caught bullets in mid air. I’ve seen things people only dream about. I’ve seen the seams between universes ripped apart. Things that humans shouldn’t see. People make up explanations, assign meanings to things without knowing, because it’s reassuring, it’s comforting. And I can’t do that. Because I know too much.

You know, I used to think that if I gave up on the club or Charming, I’d somehow be betraying you, and I didn’t want to do that. And then I realized that my job as your old lady is to be strong when and where you can’t be.That’s what this is, baby. I took that job in Oregon. It starts in two weeks. The boys are coming with me. And if you love them and if you love me, you’ll follow us up there. We both know, if we stay here… we’ll end up like the two people we hate the most. And our boys will be destined to relive all of our mistakes.

The Dark Knight Rises

The woman turned and went slowly into the house. As she passed the doors she turned and looked back. Grave and thoughtful was her glance, as she looked on the king with cool pity in her eyes. Very fair was her face, and her long hair was like a river of gold. Slender and tall she was in her white robe girt with silver; but strong she seemed and stern as steel, a daughter of kings.
